Teeth Whitening
Over time, teeth can become yellowed or stained. Our practice offers an easy take home whitening solution to help improve the brightness of your smile.
Crowns
Dental crowns are fixed prosthetic restorations made to restore a damaged tooth to its original shape and size. Typically a crown is a cover or cap that covers the outer surface of your tooth. This procedure helps improve the strength and look of your tooth. During the procedure, the tooth receiving the crown may be reshaped along the chewing surface or built up with filling material. Impressions, x-rays, or scans will be taken and used to manufacture a permanent crown. Instructions for preparation and aftercare will be provided.
Common reasons for dental crowns:
- To repair a cavity that is too large for a filling.
- To support a bridge for missing teeth
- To cover a dental implant
- To protect a tooth that is cracked, worn down or otherwise weakened
- To protect a restored tooth after a root canal
- To repair a discolored or badly shaped tooth
Bridges
Bridges are used to fill the gap caused by one or more missing teeth. Depending on the type of bridge you need, crowns or dental implants may be used as an anchor. Impressions, x-rays, or scans will be taken and used to properly form and place your bridge. Instructions for preparation and aftercare will be provided.
Bridges are commonly used to:
- Improve your smile
- Improve your ability to properly chew and speak
- Help maintain the shape of your face
- Improve the distribution of forces in your bite
- Prevent remaining teeth from drifting out of position
Implants
A dental implant is used to provide a permanent replacement for missing teeth. Implants are surgically placed into the bone beneath your gums and act as an artificial "root". Implants provide stable support to artificial teeth and can help prevent individual teeth, bridges or dentures from shifting. Instructions for preparation and aftercare will be provided.
Dental implants are commonly used to:
- Improve appearance.
- Improve speech
- Improve comfort
- Aid in eating
- Support other teeth, crowns, or bridges.
